Box Score HARRISVILLE, R.I. (Dec. 3) – Backed by 18 saves by junior goaltender Teraysa White, the New England College women's ice hockey team skated to a 3-0 victory at Nichols College in ECAC Women's East action Friday evening at June Rockwell Levy Rink. The Pilgrims improve to 4-3-0 and 4-1-0 in conference action while Nichols falls to 1-6-0 overall and 0-6-0 in league play.
The Pilgrims took the lead at 8:09 on a Sam Hippern goal. Stephanie Spera won the faceoff at the right circle back to Hippern in the slot where the sophomore defender sent a slap shot past the glove side of Nichols first year netminder

Chelsea Torrico edged the Pilgrims ahead with 1:02 remaining in the opening frame. After the Bison were unable to clear the puck, Hippern knocked it across the slot to Kate Kellar. Kellar charged the net with Torrico on her left before chipping across for the junior to flip over Palazzo's glove and take a 2-0 lead into the intermission.
The Pilgrims capped the scoring under a minute into the final frame when Kassandra Flint picked up her first career goal from the bottom of the right circle that snuck under Palazzo's glove. Torrico earned the assist with the setup pass from the corner.
Palazzo finished with 55 saves, while White made 18 stops in the shutout victory.
Nichols held the Pilgrims scoreless in five power-play chances, including a two-skater advantage for 1:26 late in the third frame. The Bison finished 0-for-3 on the power play.
Nichols returns to action Saturday in a 1:40 p.m. ECAC East home game against Castleton State. New England College travels to Manhattanville Saturday for a 7 p.m. conference game.
