Sterling, Mass.- The Nichols College golf team finished in first place at the Sterling Invitational hosted by Worcester State College Tuesday afternoon at the Par 71 Sterling National Country Club. The Bison totaled a 313 on the day as they outpaced the 13 team field by a full five shots. Nichols' Chris Brock (Pomfret Center, Conn.) earned medalist honors with the low round 75. Nichols was followed by Salem State (318), Bentley College (320), Johnson & Wales University (324).
The host Lancers finished in 5th place with a 329. Bob Bruso was the low Worcester State player with a 79 on the afternoon. Senior Zach Camarra followed with an 80. John Mazzone, Dave Urella and Mike Leveroni rounded out the squad with scores of, 84, 86 and 87, respectively.
