DUDLEY, Mass.- The Nichols men's tennis team improved to 3-5 overall and 2-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference with a 6-3 win over Curry on Saturday. The Bison earned five singles victories after taking a 2-1 lead in doubles play. Despite both suffering injuries during their No. 1 doubles match, freshmen Jack Backer (Cheshire, Conn.) and Tyler McLaughlin (Hollis, N.H.) picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles respectively. Sophomore Clayton Johnson (Williamstown, Mass.) earned a pair of wins today at No. 2 doubles and No. 4 singles.

Also recording wins today were sophomore Kevin Pittz (Delmar, N.Y.) and junior Jason Matthews (Sanford, Maine) at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively. Nichols will continue home action this Monday against Eastern Nazarene.
