DORCHESTER, Mass.- In its 2008 The Commonwealth Coast Conference debut, the Nichols men's tennis team earned a solid 7-2 win over Wentworth on Tuesday. The Bison took the first four singles match-ups after taking all three doubles matches. Nichols is now 2-5 overall and 1-0 in conference play while the match was the Leopards first of the season.

Freshmen Jack Baker (Cheshire, Conn.) and Tyler McLaughlin (Hollis, N.H.) earned wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively while also teaming up for a 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles. Freshman Dave Buonaiuto (East Greenwich, R.I.) and sophomore Clayton Johnson (Williamstown, Mass.) picked up victories at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively after rallying for a 9-7 win at No. 2 doubles. Sophomore Kevin Pittz (Delmar, N.Y.) and junior Jason Matthews (Sanford, Maine) earned a 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles as well.

The Bison will host Becker this Friday at 4 p.m.
