WORCESTER, Mass.- Behind a four goal first period, the Nichols men's hockey team posted a 5-0 shutout victory over Assumption on Tuesday in ECAC Northeast action. The Bison improve to 16-5-1 on the year and 10-3 in the conference.

The Bison scored two goals in the first minute of the game and tacked on two more by the 14 minute mark. Junior Anthony Monte, freshman Will Munson, freshman Chris Ratte and sophomore Eric Cremer scored the goals. A goal by freshman JoJo Bojanowski at the 13:15 mark of the second period closed out the scoring.

Despite a combined 35 penalities, neither team capitalized on 11 power play chances. Junior goaltender Keith Fink had 13 saves in the win, his 13th of the year.
