Dudley, Mass.- The Nichols women's soccer team hosted the Pine Manor Gators on Saturday September 8, 2007 and came away with a dominating 10-0 victory. The Bison got an early lead and never looked back as they were led offensively by junior Kaila Gray's (Pembroke, NH) two goals and two assist performance along with junior Chelsea Blair's (Blanford, Mass.) three assists. With the win, Nichols improves to 2-1 on the year while the Gators drop to 0-3.

The Bison started the scoring with Gray's first of two goals at the nine minute mark. The second goal was scored by freshman Kensey Marsland (Ware, Mass.), who totaled two goals and assist for the Bison. Sophomore Lindsey Barbo (Natick, Mass) put one in the back of the net on a penalty kick and four minutes later sophomore Kristen Andrews (Spencer, Mass) scored on an assist from Chelsea Blair. At halftime the Bison had a demanding 7-0 lead.

In the second half, senior Meghan McManus (Northboro, Mass.) got her first goal of the year unassisted. Later in the half freshman Katelyn Delaney (Weymouth, Mass) and Barbo finished off the scoring for the Bison with a goal each.

Nichols next game will be at home on Tuesday, Sept. 11 versus. Newbury College at 4 p.m. Pine Manors will play Norwich next Saturday at 1 p.m.
