Box Score Bristol, R.I.- Roger Williams University men's soccer team earned its second straight conference win with a 2-0 victory over Nichols College Wednesday afternoon. The Bison are now 3-3-1 overall and 1-1-1 in TCCC play.
Antoine Bell (Bordeaux, France) notched his fourth goal of the year ten minutes into the game, dropping a short kick from Dan Saccoccio (Holtsville, N.Y.) over the goalie's head. Kevin Canty (Proctor, Vt.) added another goal in the second half for insurance, beating the keeper off of a cross from Matt Smith (Winston-Salem, N.C.).
The Hawk defense kept the Bison offensive attack in check for most of the day, holding Nichols to four shots. Peter Plate (Commack, N.Y.) tallied a save in the shutout.
Nichols' Clayton Johnson (Williamstown, Mass.) remained busy, stopping 11 shots, many of which from very close distance.
