Box Score

Boston, Mass.- The Emerson College Lions (4-0-0) posted their second consecutive shutout holding Nichols College (2-1-1) to only eight shots in a 3-0 non-conference victory at Rotch Field.  Emerson goalkeeper Jonas Imbert (Jr., Taunton, Mass.) earned the shutout making six saves.

Will Sagar ( Sr., Arlington, Vir.) opened the scoring for the Lions with a deflection off Nichols goalkeeper Clayton Johnson (So., Williamstown, Mass.) in just the fourth minute.  Sam Perzanows Sportski (So., Rutland, Ver.) had the assist.  The score remained tied throughout the first half despite 12 shots for Emerson as Johnson made five saves.

Casey Shane (So., New York, N.Y. ) posted the Lions second score on a shot from right to left just inside the 18 yard box.  Robin Lewis (So.,Westberg, N.Y.)  assisted.  Sagar closed the scoring on an assist from Chris Mathias (Sr., Gettysburg, Penn.) in the 74th minute.

Emerson outshot Nichols 16-8 over the course of the game. The Bison will be back in action this Saturday, Sept. 15 when they host the University of New England at 2 p.m.
