NORTHFIELD, Vt.- Sophomore Ryan Wilcox (West Granby, Conn.) scored a career-high 30 points as the NIchols men's basketball team picked up its first win of the season, 97-70, over Lyndon State at the Norwich Invitational. The Bison, now 1-3 on the year, advance to tomorrow's championship game against Norwich at 3 p.m.

The Bison extended a seven point halftime lead into a 15 point lead 3:55 into the final half. After Lyndon State got to within eight, 61-53, with 12:39 left, Nichols out-scored the Hornets 37-17 the rest of the way to earn the 27 point victory.

Freshman Garret Bishop (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) chipped in with 18 points for Nichols.
