Kathryn Beall begins her third season as head women’s lacrosse coach in 2017 and second as the college’s compliance officer. She is also an assistant coach for the women’s soccer team.
Six of Beall’s student-athletes were named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Academic All-Conference Team in 2016 – three more than the previous year. In 2015, she also coached a pair of Nichols College Athletes of the Year in Brooke Marion (Sophomore Female) and Grace Murphy (Senior Female).
Bell was a four-year standout lacrosse student-athlete at nearby Assumption College, from which she graduated in May, 2014 with a degree in marketing. A two-year captain for the Greyhounds, Beall was named to the Northeast-10 Second Team in 2014 after tallying 22 points (19-3-22), 38 draw controls, 25 ground balls, and 14 caused turnovers. Following her senior campaign, she participated in the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association/DeBeer Division II North/South Senior All-Star Game.
For her career, Beall appeared in 63 games (60 starts) and graduated as the program’s all-time leader in draw controls with 175. She also collected 124 ground balls, which is No. 10 in program history.
A native of Shrewsbury, Mass., Beall worked as a counselor at Nike Lacrosse Camps in 2010. She also spent three summers (2011-13) as an inventory department intern with the EMC Corporation.
