Nichols women’s hockey goaltender Victoria Bakopanos was named Bison of the Week for her efforts in a 1-1-0 weekend against the University of New England. The sophomore netminder hailing out of Montreal, Quebec made 87 saves on 90 shots over two games to help backstop the Bison defense and helping her team to a 1-1-0 weekend. Bakopanos flashed a 50-save performance in the second game, keeping the Bison within striking distance throughout. Her 50 saves on Saturday evening marked her second-highest total in her career, coming six saves shy of her record coming on January 7 against Concordia Wisconsin.
