CENTERVILLE, Mass.  (Jan. 23) – Nichols first-year Louie Educate was named an ECAC Northeast Co-Rookie of the Week for games played through the week ending January 22, 2012, it was announced by the conference Monday night. The rookie adds to his pair of Player of the Week nods.
 
Educate led the Bison with four goals this week and added an assist for a five points. In the 11-3 triumph at Suffolk, the forward found the back of the net twice and assisted on a third goal. On Saturday, in the 5-3 win at home against Johnson & Wales, the rookie potted a pair of goals including the game winner.
 
The forward paces Division III scoring 1.53 points per game and shares the top spot among all players in goals per game (1.00).
 
Nichols (5-11-1, 3-3-0 ECAC Northeast) hosts a pair of conference games this week. On Wednesday night the Bison welcome Salve Regina for an 8:10 matchup. Western New England ventures to Levy Rink for a 4:40 p.m. contest as part of a men's and women's ice hockey doubleheader.
