CAPE COD, Mass. (May 6) - Commissioner of the ECAC Rudy Keeling announced Tuesday that seven members of the Nichols College men's ice hockey team have been named to the ECAC Northeast All-Academic team for the 2009-10 season. This marks the ninth year that the conference has named an All-Academic team. A total of 57 student-athletes representing eight ECAC Northeast teams earned this honor based on outstanding performance in the classroom.
Seniors Zeke Costello (Shelby Township, Mich.) and Eric Cremer (Chelsea, Mich.) led the way for the Bison, while juniors JoJo Bojanowski (Washington Township, Mich.) and Will Munson (Corona, Calif.) joined the pair with honors for the second consecutive year. Sophomores Zach Hendrickson (Farmingdale, N.Y.), Drew Palmer (Chelmsford, Mass.) and Kevin Richardson (Temecula, Calif.) were named to the team for the first time.
To be named to the All-Academic team, the student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, and have competed in at least one-half of his team's contests during the current season (a goaltender must have played at least 33 percent of his team's minutes).
