SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Nichols College sophomore back Kyle Brockaway (Lebanon, N.H.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Men's Soccer Co-Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, November 2, 2008. Brockaway stepped up from his back line position to score the game-winning goal in the Bison's 1-0 upset win over second-seeded Roger Williams in the TCCC quarterfinals Saturday.
Brockaway's goal in the 81st minute lifted Nichols to its first win over the Hawks since 1997 and propelled the Bison into the TCCC semifinals for the first time in 11 seasons.
The graduate of Lebanon High School has recorded five points on two goals and an assist in 17 games this season.
The seventh-seeded Bison (10-8-1) travel to third-seeded Curry (15-3-3) for a TCCC semifinal matchup Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.
