SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Nichols College senior Stephanie Tenczar (West Springfield, Mass.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year as announced by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Tenczar has maintained a grade point average of 3.95 in mathematics and will serve as class valedictorian.
Tenczar started all 15 games this season for the Bison and once again led the team in points scored with 56 total points. Her 45 goals were a team-high and eighth best in the conference and her 11 assists on the season also led the team. Tenczar also led the conference in ground balls, was second in draw controls per game, and was fifth in caused turnovers per game.
For her career, Tenczar posted a record 140 goals and 162 points along with 22 assists, which is tied for the school record. She also broke the season record for assists with 11 and total points with 56 this year.
